Ladbrokes Coral PLC and The Racing Partnership announced that they have reached a media rights deal that will allow Ladbrokes Coral’s 3,820 betting shops in the UK and Ireland to show racing from 15 Arena Racing Company owned racecourses and seven independent racecourses.
The deal also allows Ladbrokes Coral to show coverage of South African racing. The combined group enterprises of Ladbrokes, Coral and Betdaq will also shortly re-commence streaming of TRP content, according to SBC News. The deal is being called a first in the industry and is based on a profit-shared model which gives TRP and Ladbrokes incentives to work together to grow betting on British racing.
“We are delighted to have agreed this deal with Ladbrokes Coral. It is a testament to the symbiotic nature of racing and betting that we have been able to agree on a deal based on sound commercial principles for both parties,” said ARC Chief Executive Martin Cruddace in a press release. “I am very grateful for the patience and support of my shareholders. We look forward to working with everyone at Ladbrokes Coral as we move into a new era of collaboration and co-operation.”
In another matter, Ladbrokes in partnership with Playtech has relaunched its Live Casino platform. The relaunch includes a new studio design and improved app functionality, the bookmaker said in a press release.
The main areas of change are a bigger and improved product range and a planned schedule of new releases as well as increased interaction with players to create an authentic live casino experience, the release said.
“Our gaming customers want an authentic casino experience and that is why we’ve updated our live casino offer and increased player interaction to create the ultimate live gaming experience,” said Antonio Ruggeri, live casino product manager for Ladbrokes Coral in the release.
