In honor of the engagement of Prince Harry to American actress Meghan Markle, British bookmaker Ladbrokes recently debuted several “Royal Wedding” betting opportunities, including the date, best man, bridesmaids and more.
Regarding the date, Ladbrokes has priced 1/4 that Harry and Meghan will set the date for May 2018. Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said, “Clearly the Duchess of Cambridge will need some time to recover from the birth of her third child, so a May wedding looks like a near certainty. As does Wills to repay the favor of being Prince Harry’s best man.” Ladbrokes has priced Prince William as firm 1/10 favorite to be named best man.
In addition, Ladbrokes has priced Canadian fashion stylist Jessica Mulroney 1/3 to be Meghan’s bridesmaid, followed by close friend and fellow actress Janina Gavankar priced at 1/2.
Ladbrokes also has priced Prince Harry’s nephew Prince George at 1/5 to be pageboy and niece Princess Charlotte at 1/5 to be flower girl.
