LeoVegas to Enter U.S.

Despite the name, LeoVegas is a Swedish company that provides online casinos and sports betting. And its initial launch in the U.S. will not happen in Las Vegas.

Instead, the debut will be in New Jersey through Caesars Entertainment in the first half of 2022. The company will offer its innovative gaming experience to mobile phones.

“The American market has immense growth potential, and players are just now discovering online gaming,” LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman said. “Establishing ourselves with our proprietary platform is a strategic decision, and we know from other markets that having full control over our technology is a key competitive advantage.”

Caesars will offer LeoVegas’ games like live blackjack, poker, and roulette as it seeks a place in the New Jersey online gaming market, one that produced over $1 billion in revenue in 2020.

The games will be launched through Rhino, LeoVegas’ proprietary technical platform, pending approval from regulatory authorities in New Jersey.
