A movie-themed entertainment complex will open on China’s Hengqin Island near Macau in the first half of 2019. Lionsgate Entertainment World is part of a plan to increase non-gaming tourism attractions to the area. It will complement existing facilities such as the Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort, reported GGRAsia.
The complex has been described as “Asia’s first movie-themed indoor interactive experience.” Lionsgate, owner of the “Hunger Games” franchise, has promised to present “a multifaceted destination that engages guests through storytelling,” said General Manager Selena Magill in a news release.
