Canadian provincial gambling operator Loto-Québec ordered the closing of some land-based facilities in the face of rising Covid – 19 cases in the province.
The Casino de Montreal and the Salon de jeux de Quebec will be closed until October 28. Lottery sales, however, will continue.
Also closed are video lottery machines (VLTs), network bingo and Kinzo in Montreal, Chaudière-Appalaches and the Capitale-Nationale region (except Charlevoix and Portneuf).
All other land-based sites – including the Casino de Charlevoix, the Casino du Lac-Leamy, the Casino de Mont-Tremblant, the Salon de jeux de Trois-Rivières, the Hilton Lac-Leamy and the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu – will remain open according to igaminbusiness.com.
Québec has also ordered the closure of several other businesses including bars, cinemas, interior mall stores, sample counters, gyms and libraries.
