Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville, Louisiana recently installed 150 new gaming machines on the casino floor, including both Class III Las Vegas-style and Class II bingo-style slot machines. Paragon is the only casino in the state to offer both types of slots, officials said.
The new machines will replace 15 percent of the 1,000 total machines currently on Paragon’s casino floor. General Manager Marshall Ray Sampson Sr. stated, “Paragon Casino Resort is continuously exploring new technology and revitalizing our offerings to enhance the gaming experience of our guests. With the recent upgrades to our gaming floor and other areas of our campus, Paragon Casino Resort is ready to welcome both regular visitors and new guests this fall.”
The new games include the popular Cashnado, Wealth of Coins Dancing Lion, Golden Blessings and Lantern of Destiny on Flex, which both offer large progressive jackpots. Paragon also is in the process of installing the bingo-style slots Crazy Cherry Jewel Hunt, Mr. Money Bags and the Polar High Roller Jewel Hunt.
Paragon became the first casino in Louisiana to offer an on-site sportsbook in October of 2021. Marshall Pierite, chairman of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana, owners of the casino resort, said, “In-person sports betting and our new machines have opened a new realm of opportunity for Paragon Casino Resort, the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe and players within Louisiana. Paragon Casino Resort now offers a robust gaming experience with the latest gaming technology and hardware to all guests.”
In the past year, Paragon also opened the Draft Room, a 600-square-foot sports bar offering wall-to-wall sports and gaming options and renovated the North Tower hotel.
