Luckia Group to Open Spanish Casino

Spanish gaming firm Luckia Group hopes to open a new €5.5 million (US$6.4 million) casino in the city of Vigo by next April. The new casino with an “avant-garde and very modern” design will create 105 new jobs.

Expect a new casino to open in the Spanish city of Vigo by April 2019, according to José González Fuentes, president of the Luckia Group. The €5.5 million (US$6.4 million) casino will be located inside a shopping center in the metropolitan area.

Fuentes called it “an ideal place with an excellent location,” close to ports that serve local cruise ships and also near the border of Portugal. “It’s a good opportunity for the mall, the casino and the city,” Fuentes added of the gaming hall, which will have 80 gaming machines and 12 blackjack tables as well as roulette, poker and other games.

The Spanish company formerly known as Egasa will also invest €582 million in a tourist and leisure complex in the Chilean town of Arica, reports Games Magazine Brasil.

The real estate, tourism and commercial project at Arica City Center will include a five-star hotel with 129 rooms, restaurants, an 800-seat event center, a surf club, a wellness space and a retail district with 33 stores.

Fuentes said the center “will be a benchmark for all of Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Peru and even Paraguay.”
