Macau Added 2,200+ Hotel Rooms in 2018

Macau’s Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau announced last week that the market added four hotels with 2,227 new rooms in 2018, with plenty more to come.

Macau made major additions to its hotel inventory in 2018. According to the city’s Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau, the market added four hotels with a total of 2,227 new rooms last year. There is plenty more in the pipeline.

In the fourth quarter, about 18 hotel projects were in development that will eventually add 6,810 additional rooms. A total of 28 hotel projects were in the planning stages, with the potential to provide 5,562 more rooms. The city also added 2,121 new housing units, reported the Macau News Agency.
