Macau casino operators Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. and Wynn Macau Ltd. have instituted wage hikes and bonuses for their workers, and Sands China Ltd. has announced a new paternity-leave policy for new fathers.

According to GGRAsia, on February 13 Galaxy gave out discretionary bonuses equivalent to one month’s salary for eligible employees at the senior manager level and below.

“With the development projects of Galaxy Macau Phases III and IV, Galaxy Entertainment looks forward to team members’ continued dedication, focus and commitment in delivering ‘Asian Heart’ services and products,” the casino operator stated, adding that the firm will increase communications with its employees to boost their “well-being.”

Wynn Macau handed out its annual bonus “in advance of the Chinese New Year Holiday.” According to the Macau News Agency, Wynn also raised salaries for almost 98 percent of the staff by 3.8 percent to 7.2 percent. And Melco Resorts & Entertainment announced a salary increase and “a one-month discretionary bonus” for eligible non-management employees.

“Melco has always and continues to see employees as a top priority for the company,” said the firm in a press release.
