The Wonderland Group, a Spanish entertainment company, has launched a series of direct flights from Madrid to Las Vegas. The flights began August 3.
Dubbed Las Vegas Airlines, the charter air service plans to run on a weekly basis all month, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. It features “an inflight interactive variety show hosted by a Spanish comedian dressed as a captain.”
“It’s an unconventional plane that’s been personalized for our show with special lighting,” said Monica Mays, who manages Wonderland’s Las Vegas operations.
The travel package includes lodging at the Vdara, trips to the Grand Canyon, tickets to a Cirque du Soleil show and access to several day clubs and nightclubs, the Review-Journal reported. The maiden voyage included almost 380 passengers, actors, actresses and crewmembers on the Airbus A350 jet chartered through Air Europa.
Tickets were about 2,000 euros, approximately $2,680 in U.S. currency.
“Our major objective is to grow the company and secure new investors,” Mays said. “We’re all about connecting the world to Las Vegas and we feel we have a number of opportunities.”
