Malta Cancels Online Casino Licenses

The Malta Gaming Authority has moved to cancel gaming licenses for Neptune Entertainment and Triton Gaming and has ordered the companies to shut down their online operations. The authority did not disclose the reasons for the license cancellations saying investigations into the sites were ongoing.

The Malta Gaming Authority has cancelled gaming licenses for Neptune Entertainment and Triton Gaming in what it said was an ongoing investigation.

Neptune Entertainment was ordered to stop gaming operations and post a notice on its website informing customers that its authorization in Malta is no longer valid. The ruling applies to all websites associated with Neptune Entertainment, which must also cease operating.

Triton Gaming and all websites associated with the brand was issued a similar order.

The authority said it will not release any more information about the rulings to avoid compromising e any investigations that may need to be launched.

Consumers were instructed to contact the authority for information on outstanding payments.

Last month the authority also cancelled licenses for both Bet Service Group and World-of-bets.eu, and also suspended Betixx until further notice. BTM Entertainment has also recently been suspended in Malta. Again, reasons for the regulatory actions were not released.
