The Malta Gaming Authority has granted a supplier license to Playson, a Malta-based content developer. The license means Playson can provide Malta-licensed operators with Type 1 games of chance.

Malta-based gaming content developer Playson has been granted a supplier license by the Malta Gaming Authority.

The company can now provide Malta-licensed operators with Type 1 games of chance.

“Playson is extremely excited to announce its successful alignment with the MGA requirements that have led to the company acquiring the status of official MGA licensee,” the company said in a press release.

Type 1 games include games played against the house which are determined by a random generator, and includes casino games such as roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker played against the house, lotteries, secondary lotteries and virtual sports games.”

“To say this is an important moment for the company is really an understatement,” said Ivan Farrugia, managing director at Playson. “The green light from the MGA is like a turbo boost for our already fully-geared engines and we expect it to result in exponential growth for the company and its presence across regulated markets.”
