With William Hill soon to merge with 888 Holdings, Patrick Jonker has left the company where he served as international managing director. COO Stephen Parry takes over Jonker’s position, at least for the time being.

The former managing director of Betsson Group, Jonker joined William Hill in 2019 to lead the company’s resurgence after successive years of losses, according to SBC News.

Jonker was instrumental in the acquisition and integration of Green for £250 million in 2019, a deal which led William Hill to establish an International Division within European markets.

“I feel comfortable stepping aside for new management to prepare for the next chapter for William Hill International,” Jonker said in a statement.
