Margaritaville Biloxi Filling 600 Jobs

Six hundred jobs need to be filled at the family friendly Margaritaville Resort Biloxi with a June opening expected. Amenities will include a zipline, roller coaster, volcano climbing wall, 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar and a 373-room hotel—but no casino.

Expected to open in June, Margaritaville Resort Biloxi will hold a job fair May 2 and 3 and is accepting online applications to fill 600 positions in the property’s hotel, retail shops, restaurants and recreation facilities. Barrington Development, which restored the White House Hotel in Biloxi into a luxury resort, is transforming the former Casino Magic into a family friendly destination, which will not include a casino.

Among the unique features at Margaritaville Biloxi, a 55,000 square foot Escape Family Entertainment Center will offer 200 games, Sky Trail Ropes Adventure Course for adults and kids and the Cloud Coaster zipline roller coaster. Also, a volcano climbing wall, two golf/sports simulators, a six-lane mini bowling alley and a resort pool with waterslides, a lazy river and kids’ splash pad will be included.

In addition, the property will offer singer, songwriter and Pascagoula native Jimmy Buffett’s signature Margaritaville Cafe, 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar and Land Shark’s Bar & Grill, plus the James Beard award-winning Doe’s Eat Place steakhouse.

All of the property’s 373 rooms and suites completely renovated and reservations are being accepted on the Margaritaville Resort Biloxi website.

The Margaritaville in Biloxi opened for several years before failing to succeed as a casino, and does not include a hotel.
