Marina Bay Sands Hosts Hybrid Trade Show

“Mixed reality” presentation technology debuted at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on November 25-26 at the nation’s “first hybrid trade show,” TravelRevive, presented by the Singapore Tourism Board and ITB Asia, a travel industry events organizer. The technology, offered at Marina Bay Sands’ on-site hybrid broadcast studio, combines in-person attendance with input from online participants for an immersive and interactive presentation, officials said.

Senior Vice President of Resort Operations Paul Town, said, “Marina Bay Sands has accelerated adoption of technology to adapt to the new environment” of Covid-19 considerations. Town said the hybrid broadcast studio at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre opened in August and has held several hybrid meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. Sponsors included WiT Experience Week 2020 for the digital travel business and Singapore International Energy Week. The hybrid broadcast studio also was the site of the launch of Singapore hip-hop artist Yung Raja’s new single and music video, the “Dance Song.”
