Las Vegas-based cashless credit leader Marker Trax recently hired Val Apoderado as its new Vice President of IT Operations and Engineering.
Apoderado joined Marker Trax in February and immediately started work planning and executing on all technical operations and quality assurance initiatives. He will serve as an advisor on all processes, systems, and data issues in addition to ongoing product performance and enhancement.
Over a two-decade-plus career in technology operations across multiple industries, from gaming and payments to health care and education, Apoderado has built and managed complicated cybersecurity, compliance, and governance programs for many companies, including Wynn, Nevada Cancer Institute, Shift4 Payments, and others.
“The crux of our success is managing and tracking customers’ credit activities, and having robust, secure, and regulatory-compliant systems in place to manage that data is of paramount importance,” said Marker Trax President Charlie Skinner. “With Val leading these focused efforts, we’re taking another step forward in our industry-leading position in the cashless credit gaming sector.”
Marker Trax’ innovative technology addresses business-to-business and business-to-consumer priorities in peerless fashion. Integrating with existing infrastructure, it provides instant digital casino marker funds to casino customers. The technology ensures those funds stay on-site and are paid, greatly reducing operator risk. Simultaneously, players benefit from a seamless, convenient approval process and revolutionary digital funding and payment mechanisms.
“Our company built the cashless credit revolution, and every day we’re innovating to retain our leadership position.” Skinner said. “That’s only possible with a team of the brightest minds in gaming, technology and payments. Val is a key part of that team.”
