Maryland Lottery and Gaming recently reported September was the fourth-best month for casino revenue, as the state’s six casinos generated total revenue of $143.8 million, up 6.9 percent over September 2017.
MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County posted the highest revenue at $54.4 million, a 10.3 percent rise over September 2017. The casino has led the other five since shortly after its December 2016 opening. Second-best revenue was reported by Cordish Company’s Live Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County, with $50.3 million in revenue in September, a 7.1 percent increase versus September 2017.
Hollywood Casino Perryville posted $6.3 million, a 5.8 percent increase over September 2017, and Ocean Downs Casino reported $7.5 million, a 13.9 percent increase.
Both Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in western Maryland posted revenue decreases compared to September 2017. Horseshoe Casino revenue fell 1.6 percent to $20.7 million and Rocky Gap posted a 1.3 percent drop to $4.6 million.
