The Innovation Group (TIG) announced that Allison McCoy, a former executive with Reed Exhibitions and Spectrum Gaming Group, has joined the company as vice president of business development. McCoy brings 15 years of gaming industry experience to TIG, with a diverse background featuring significant international and cross-cultural work experience which will be instrumental in continuing to expand the firm’s established brand and suite of services.

“As gaming continues to expand beyond the casino floor, and as operators and technology providers converge, there is a world of opportunity,” said TIG President Michael Soll. “Allison’s depth of experience and industry relationships will be indispensable resources to the company.”

McCoy will work closely with TIG partners in the ongoing pursuit of new global business opportunities, including in the Native American gaming sector. Her track record of success in analyzing the viability of new prospects and partnerships, as well as her ability to initiate and grow strategic alliances, complements TIG’s existing business platform. Additionally, McCoy will oversee TIG’s Emerging Leaders of Gaming program, which is designed to turn today’s young executives into tomorrow’s industry leaders.

“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to join the team at TIG,” said McCoy. “It’s a firm I’ve known and respected my entire gaming career, and I look forward to working side-by-side with such a talented group of professionals.”

McCoy began her career in the gaming industry at Reed Exhibitions as the director of industry development for Global Gaming Expo, the world’s largest gaming conference and trade show. In her first year at Reed, McCoy was named Rookie of the Year, and during her tenure, she produced growth of the G2E conference program by more than 30 percent in four years. McCoy has also held senior positions with Spectrum Gaming Group, among others.
