McNab Is Managing Director for Macau Hotels

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Janet McNab as managing director of the Sheraton Macao Hotel and the St. Regis Macao. McNab began her career with the company in Brisbane in 1990.

Janet McNab has been appointed the new managing director of two Starwood Hotels’ locations on the Cotai Strip, according to the Macau Daily Times. McNab will oversee the management team at the Sheraton Macao and the St. Regis Macao.

Born in Australia, McNab began her career with Starwood in Brisbane in 1990. She has worked more than 13 years in Asia at properties throughout Thailand, China, and Indonesia. She moved to Nanjing, China after completing an MBA in Australia and after having served as director of sales and marketing at the Sheraton Brisbane Hotel & Towers.

“Throughout her career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Janet has led the openings of key hotels and is highly regarded for having implemented a number of very successful sales and marketing strategies,” said Josef Dolp, a vice president of the group. “Her experience in Asia, coupled with her exceptional leadership skills, makes her perfectly suited to take on the role of managing director.”

McNab said she is “happy to be returning to the Greater China region, where I launched my international career. … I love the idea of change and feel fortunate that I can do what I love to do most.”

McNab previously was the area general manager for Starwood in South Thailand and the general manager of the Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa. She will report to Josef Dolp, who has recently been promoted to the position of vice president of operations for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Korea.
