Melinda Chan has been reappointed chief executive officer of Macau Legend Development Ltd., the company announced in a filing last week.
The announcement came a month after junket operator Levo Chan, a major shareholder and co-chairman of Macau Legend, was arrested on charges of operating illegal online gambling and side-betting activities. He is in Macau’s Coloane Prison awaiting trial.
Melinda Chan has been the company’s executive director since March 2020 and served as CEO though December of that year. She says Macau Legend hopes to win its own gaming concession soon. The company now operates its casinos under the license owned by SJM Holdings.
Macau Legend also announced that Li Chun Tak has been appointed as non-executive director while Patrick Mak Ka Wing has been appointed as an independent non-executive director.
Li Chu Kwan, an executive director, has been appointed chairman of the board together with David Chow, a non-executive director, who serves as co-chairman.
