Merkur Names Halle CEO

Gauselmann Group subsidiary Merkur Gaming has named former Novomatic executive Jens Halle as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Merkur Gaming, a subsidiary of Germany’s Gauselmann Group, has named Jens Halle, former managing director of Novomatic’s Austrian Gaming Industries, as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Halle assumed the responsibility for international sales and distribution activities as CEO beginning January 1.

Halle, 56, will promote the consolidation and expansion of Merkur’s games systems ‘in global markets.

Halle has been an industry executive for 26 years. At AGI, he led one of Europe’s most successful slot suppliers and casino operators.

“Mr. Halle’s longstanding focus on the global casino business has enabled him to have the right vision with such experience so as to further develop our products mainly overseas outside of Europe in a truly sustainable way” said Gauselmann Group Chairman Paul Gauselmann. “We have gained an esteemed expert who will continue to lead our growth from past years and indeed further expand this.”

The scope of Halle’s responsibility predominantly covers the consolidation and strengthening of business activities in established markets and pushing into potential new markets as well.
