MGM Earns Top Marks Among Women

MGM Resorts International is the only Nevada job provider and only company involved in the resorts and hospitality industry that earned recognition for its efforts on behalf of women-owned businesses and to diversify its supplier base. The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council named MGM among 62 award recipients for supporting women-owned businesses.

MGM Resorts International is one of “America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises,” according to the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

The “Top Corporations” list honors job-providers for leading supplier-diversity initiatives that reduce barriers and drive growth for women-owned businesses.

“We are so proud of MGM Resorts International for choosing to set the standard for access and increase opportunities to women suppliers in new markets – both domestically and internationally,” said WBENC President and CEO Pamela Prince-Eason.

WBENC describes itself as the nation’s leader in women’s business development.

MGM Resorts is the sole company in the integrated resort industry, and the only company based in Nevada, to earn a spot on WBENC’s latest list of 62 honorees.

“Economic empowerment is vital to achievement by American women of full economic, social and political equality,” MGM Chief Diversity Officer Phyllis A. James said.

“MGM Resorts International is committed to inclusion of women-owned businesses in our stream of commerce.”
