Visitors to MGM Resorts International’s Las Vegas properties can use their cellphones and mobile devices to compete for cash prizes via MGM’s new mobile-gaming platform, easyPLAY Mobile Tournaments.
Nine MGM properties in Las Vegas have become the nation’s first regulated casinos to offer digital and interactive tournaments for their guests. While they can play on their mobile devices, guests also can participate at new gaming consoles placed in each MGM property.
MGM Senior Vice President Tom Mikulich said easyPLAY “gives our guests an exciting, new opportunity to play their favorite games while enjoying the best Las Vegas has to offer … whether they are sitting at a bar enjoying a drink or simply hanging out by the pool.”
“The tournaments are extremely user-friendly [and] provide players with a variety of game options, including slots and bingo,” Mikulich said.
Developed by oneLIVE, the easyPLAY platform enables guests at nine MGM properties in Las Vegas to use their cellphones and mobile devices to compete in a variety of live tournaments, whether they are at the pool, sipping cocktails at the bar, or relaxing in their rooms.
The first live mobile tournament is the All Summer Long Winner Takes All Progressive Slot Tournament. Participants have the opportunity to spin the wheels for a chance to win a minimum grand prize of $10,000.
The easyPLAY platform gives guests the chance to win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes via regularly scheduled classic gaming tournaments, including slots, bingo, and video poker, plus social, casual, and console games.
MGM patrons age 21 and older can participate in easyPLAY tournaments from any mobile device, personal laptop, or the new InteractivePro Tables.
Games include many of the most popular titles from oneLIVE’s Charter Content Providers Spin Games in Reno and UK-based Touchstone Games, with new games in the works.
Nevada gaming regulators already approved the easyPLAY Mobile Tournaments, which are open only to U.S. citizens.
