MGM Resorts International has signed a multiyear deal with Microsoft to host the computer giant’s annual convention beginning this July.
The convention, which will bring events to the MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and the Las Vegas Strip’s new T-Mobile Arena, is expected to draw 30,000 participants a year and is the largest corporate meeting MGM has ever signed.
“Not only is this a mark of confidence in our brand, but it offers continued evidence that Las Vegas is viewed as the leading purveyor of mainstream entertainment worldwide,” said Michael Dominguez, a senior vice president and chief sales officer for MGM.
He said the deal will boost MGM to its third record-breaking meetings and conventions year in a row.
Las Vegas set a record for convention attendance in 2016 with 6.3 million attendees.
