Jeff Stoneback is stepping down from his role as director of trading at MGM Resorts, retiring after a 36-year career with the company. A veteran of the sportsbook industry, Stoneback also previously held posts at Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Circus Circus and Excalibur.
Stoneback, 58, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he’ll miss “the job, the excitement and the adrenaline.”
Stoneback and his wife, Donna, who also had a 30-plus career with MGM, plan to travel across Europe, including stops at Wimbledon and six separate Rolling Stones rock concerts.
MGM Grand’s longtime Sportsbook Director Lamarr Mitchell will succeed Stoneback as director of trading.
