MGM Resorts Names Sustainability Executives

Chris Magee has been promoted internally to vice president of sustainable facilities at MGM Resorts International, and Yalmaz Siddiqui was hired as vice president of corporate sustainability. Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Cindy Ortega said implementing sustainable practices is the right thing to do and "also a competitive differentiator.”

MGM Resorts International recently announced Chris Magee has been promoted internally to vice president of sustainable facilities and Yalmaz Siddiqui has been hired as vice president of corporate sustainability.

Magee will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight to the development and implementation of large-scale, renewable applications and energy efficiency programs, to reduce the environmental impact of the company’s operations.

Siddiqui will lead a range of environmental sustainability initiatives for MGM Resorts, including sustainable sourcing, employee engagement, green conventions, food waste reduction and waste management.

MGM Resorts Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Cindy Ortega said, “Implementing efficient, sustainable and morally responsible practices across our operations is a top priority for MGM Resorts. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it also is a competitive differentiator.”
