Miccosukee Offers New Class II Games

Unlike the Seminoles, the Miccosukee Tribe doesn't have a gaming compact with Florida, so it can't offer Las Vegas-style Class III slots. But recently the west Miami-Dade casino (l.) installed 50 Class II versions of popular Ainsworth slots. Next month Ainsworth will give away $2,500 a week to players who try them out.

Starting next month, Ainsworth Game Technology will give away ,500 a week to players at Miccosukee Resort & Casino in west Miami-Dade, Florida who try the casino’s new Class II versions of Las Vegas-style Class III slot games. The games include Rumble Rumble and Flying Horse, popular at the casinos of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. About 50 of the new Ainsworth games are available at the Miccosukee casino.

The Miccosukees, unlike the Seminoles, do not have a gaming compact with the state of Florida that would allow the tribe to offer Class III slots. Class II games, available at many Native American casinos, offer electronic bingo, displaying the results like a traditional slot machine. Ainsworth Director of Marketing Mike Trask said, “We take the math and essentially reverse engineer it. But for the player sitting down at the game you wouldn’t notice a huge difference in game play.”

Many popular Ainsworth games feature the “Sweet Zone” which triggers bigger bonuses and free spins while an announcer tells players they are in the “Sweeeet Zoooone.” Other Ainsworth games now available at Miccosukee Casino include Dragon’s Heat, Twice the Money and China Gold.
