Michigan Governor Wants Slots Removed from Online Gaming Legislation

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (l.) has made a request through the Michigan Department of the Treasury to remove slots from proposed online gambling legislation as well as raising tax rates. Proponents of the bill call the request a non-starter. Whitmer has said she believes online gaming would hurt the state’s lottery and brick-and-mortar casinos.
