Michigan state Rep. Brandt Iden's legislative package allowing sports betting and online casino games and fantasy sports passed the House Ways and Means Committee to move to the House floor. The measure raises the sports betting tax rate from 8 percent to 8.75 percent and includes a mandate to use official league data. MGM Detroit took the lead in opening a new sports book, the Moneyline Sports Lounge.
