Midwest Regulators Pack GLI Seminar

Sponsored in partnership with the Indiana Gaming Commission, GLI’s recent Midwest Regional Regulator Seminar treated more than 80 attendees to a full day of training forums and key opportunities to share information with colleagues across the region.

More than 80 regulators from 13 jurisdictions attended a recent one-day training seminar in Indianapolis produced by Gaming Laboratories International’s GLI University in conjunction with the Indiana Gaming Commission.

The Midwest Regional Regulator Seminar, which was free for attendees, was comprised of interactive forums designed to provide regulators in the region with up-to-date information and a chance to speak with gaming professionals about challenges and upcoming trends. It also provided attendees with the opportunity to cultivate important relationships with their counterparts from nearby states.

Seminar topics included:

  • Future Look: How New Technology is Transforming the Gaming Industry—How to Regulate the Next Generation Games
  • Modernizing Surveillance, Detecting Cheaters and Minimizing Fraud
  • Embracing Millennials with Future Game Mechanics
  • Emerging Sport-Related Games: How Will Fantasy Sports and eSports Impact Traditional Gaming Markets?
  • iGaming and Mobile Gaming Technology: Lessons from Regulated Markets

“It was a wonderful opportunity to network and learn with fellow regulators,” said Sara Gonso Tait, executive director of the Indiana Gaming Commission. “I commend GLI for attracting such prestigious panelists and developing an agenda with relevant topic areas for gaming regulators.”
