Philanthropist Dr. Miriam Adelson of Las Vegas, wife of Las Vegas Sands Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sheldon Adelson, recently was named publisher of Israel Hayom, Israel’s most widely read newspaper. Adelson and her family own Israel Hayom and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I am delighted and excited to assume the role of publisher of Israel Hayom, a paper that created a revolution and made the media discourse in Israel more balanced and diverse,” Adelson said.
Longtime Publisher Asher Baharav and Chief Executive Officer Tzipi Koren left the Israel Hayom group after 12 years. Amir Finkelstein replaced Koren and will continue to oversee operations and distribution. Riki Roob, Finkelstein’s deputy, will continue to oversee financial matters.
