Mississippi Casino Set For December Opening

Set to open in December, 11 of the 15 floors of Scarlet Pearl Casino's hotel have been poured, said interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer Denise Barton. The resort will offer three restaurants and a pool and a championship miniature golf course complete with a volcano.

Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville, Mississippi is moving forward toward a December opening, said interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer Denise Barton, who recently took on the casino project following the departure of Chief Executive Officer George Toth. “We’re pretty much on time and on budget,” Barton said.

Located east of Interstate 110, 11 of the hotel tower’s 15 floors have been poured. The resort also will offer a gourmet restaurant, café and buffet. Barton noted, “We’ll also have food and drink at the pool and at the golf course”—the championship miniature golf course, complete with a volcano.

Barton added there will be several hundred parking spaces below the facility, with additional parking between the golf course and the new Coast Transit Center.
