Mohegan Sun Launches Online Gambling Site in New Jersey

Mohegan Sun has become the latest casino to launch online gambling in New Jersey through a partnership with Atlantic City’s Resorts casino. Mohegan runs Resort’s land-based operations as well. The site offers casino and table games, but not online poker.

Mohegan Sun has double downed on its partnership with Atlantic City’s resorts casino and launched an online gambling site in New Jersey.

Mohegan runs Resort’s land-based operations in Atlantic City and will now offer casino games and online slots through the site MoheganSunCasino.com. The site is similar to Resorts’ own online casino and is powered by SNG Interactive, a partnership between NYX Gaming and Sportech.

Neither site offers online poker. Resorts has a partnership agreement with PokerStars, should that company finally be licensed by state regulators to offer online poker in New Jersey. PokerStars license application has been under review by the state since late last year.

Mohegan Sun already operates a free-to-play social casino site. The social play site offers slot titles and several video poker games. While the games are licensed by a variety of manufacturers, the platform is powered by Scientific Games.

“Our goal is for MoheganSunCasino.com to become the premier online destination for both serious gamers and those who simply want to relax and have fun. We look forward to the site going live and bringing players in New Jersey the very latest that online gaming has to offer,” said Bobby Soper, president of MTGA, in a press release.

Mohegan officials said the site is currently in the testing phase—a soft launch required by state regulators—and will soon go online full time.

Mohegan said that it will offer online gambler deposit incentives, comps and chances to win cash, prizes and hotel stays at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
