More on Bloomberry’s Korea Casino

Bloomberry Resorts Corp.’s Chairman Enrique Razon Jr. (l.) has released further details about the company’s planned US$1 billion casino resort in South Korea. The lavish complex will include residential towers, a beach resort and of course, a casino.

Enrique Razon, Jr., chairman of Bloomberry Resorts, has confirmed that the company is in talks with a potential local partner for its US$1 billion integrated resort and casino project in South Korea. He also has disclosed more detail about the resort complex, which will include “residential towers, hotels, a beach resort,” Razon said. “It’s a beautiful beach property right within the city.”

According to Reuters, last month Bloomberry signed deals to buy 92 percent of Korean firm Golden & Luxury Co. Ltd., which operates THEHotel & Vegas Casino on South Korea’s Jeju island and a the 21-hectare (5-acre acre) Silmi island in the Incheon Free Economic Zone. GGRAsia reported a 2017 groundbreaking on the project.

In a filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Bloomberry described its project as “a leisure and tourism complex with entertainment facilities and mixed use development (residential and commercial). … Bloomberry Resorts is still working on the development plans for an application for a gaming license.”

Bloomberry is also the owner and operator of the $1 billion Solaire Resort & Casino, an integrated resort in Manila’s Entertainment City that opened in 2013.
