More OTBs Increases Profits for Century Casinos

Century Casinos, which is based in Colorado, boosted first quarter earnings this year by opening new OTBs in Canada and by overcoming licensing delays to reopen all of its Polish casinos. The results were an impressive growth in revenue of 12.2 percent.

Colorado Springs-based Century Casinos boosted first quarter revenues and profits this year by adding more off-track-betting facilities in Canada and by reopening all of its facilities in Poland.

Revenue in the first quarter grew 12.2 percent over the year before to $45.6 million. Earnings jumped 15.3 percent to $1.07 million.

Century opened an OTB connected to its Century Mile Racetrack and Casino near the Edmonton International Airport earlier this year. It overcame licensing delays last year to reopen all of its casinos in Poland this year.
