The Morongo Band of Mission Indians in Cabazon, California last week held a ground breaking for an expansion of Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa that will be finished by 2020. The gaming floor will be expanded by 30 percent, adding 800 slot machines and some table games, creating 425 new fulltime job positions.
The project will include a makeover of restaurants on that level. Restaurants at the top floors will be unaffected. A valet parking structure that can accommodate 750 cars and charge 70 electric cars is being added.
