Mount Airy Resort, in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains resort region, last week gave a preview of its $40 million expansion project, which will add 100 hotel rooms, additional ballroom space and a new event center. The expansion is expected to be complete by April.
“It’s really important to us to listen to our customers, and it’s been long awaited that we would bring this type of facility on to the property and just give us another venue to be able to take care of our guests,” aid Vincent Jordan, vice president of marketing for Mount Airy, in an interview with local ABC news affiliate WNEP.
In addition to more than 100 construction jobs, the expansion will create 200 new jobs at the casino.
A grand opening is scheduled for May 4, and a live entertainment schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Customers can book rooms now for the new addition.
