Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota, owned by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, will break ground next April on a second, 9-story, 180-room hotel. The expansion project also will include a 70,000 square foot convention center with two large ballrooms and several smaller meeting rooms. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

Tribal officials said existing hotel rooms also will be remodeled within the next few months.
