NBA Unveils New Sports Betting App

The NBA has unveiled NBABet Stream, a digital platform devoted to all things related to sports wagering. The new app will give NBA League Pass subscribers access to betting-focused streams and more for a more personalized experience, according to Vegas Slots Online.

The stream debuted September 29 along with the new global app from the league. NBA TV produced the betting stream, which features former All-Big Ten basketball player Tim Doyle. Other contributors will join Doyle in a weekly show tailored to provide fans the latest information during live games.

In partnership with Turner Sports, the NBA expects the new content to build a stronger direct relationship with fans. The app will include new documentaries, archived content and over 500 hours of classic basketball showdowns.

NBA Executive Vice President Chris Benyarko, called the rollout a “major milestone as we continue to build and strengthen our direct-to-consumer offerings.”

It will “enhance and personalize the way NBA fans engage with the league on a daily basis.”

According to Axios, Andrew Yaffe, NBA senior vice president, said the app is set up so fans are not pushed towards gambling content.

Official NBA betting partners FanDuel and DraftKings produced “all the gaming-specific content” on the new app. Yaffe said there will be “a toggle switch allowing fans to choose not to see content specifically related to gambling.”

The NBA also said it will not take bets on the site.
