UK-based Nektan has pierced the U.S. market with its first real-money mobile games solution in California, Rapid Games. It is introducing the game through its U.S. subsidiary Respin Games LLC.
The platform has been introduced in an as yet-undisclosed Indian casino in the Golden State. The platform allows patrons to play Class II games using the mobile device while on the casino premises. Three other casinos in Northern California are in the pipeline for similar games, all involving a Bring Your Own Device mobile platform.
Nektan interim CEO Gary Shaw commented, “We are very pleased to have taken our first ever real-money wager in North America with an established land-based casino operator in California.” He added, “As first movers in Class II mobile casino, our team is focused on helping the tribal land-based operators evolve into successful iGaming businesses.”
