Nevada is moving toward allowing its gaming resorts to host marijuana conventions. That is, as long as no actual marijuana is brought on property. Public consumption is expected to remain illegal in the state for the foreseeable future.

Nevada’s Gaming Policy Committee has affirmed the hard line the state has drawn between the casino industry and its newly legalized recreational marijuana industry, but that doesn’t mean the two won’t have opportunities to shake hands across the divide.

As expected, the committee says it’s still illegal to possess and consume marijuana in any casino
