The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has announced two new appointments–Supervisor Thomasina Fremont has been appointed as Chief of the Audit Division, and Hearings Officer Chan Lengsavath has been appointed as Chief of the Tax and License Division.
Both promotions were overseen by NGCB Chair J. Brin Gibson. Lengsavath took office effective May 16, and Fremont will assume the new role on July 11. The two will succeed Dan Douglas and Kelly Colvin, respectively. Both Douglas and Colvin will retire with over 25 years of service.
Gibson said in a statement that he has “the utmost confidence that Chan Lengsavath and Thomasina Fremont will continue the impeccable leadership that has existed in the Tax and License and Audit Divisions for decades.”
“As licensees continue to diversify their offerings on the gaming floor, I have no doubt that these divisions will continue to uphold the highest auditing and oversight standards that the industry and the public expect from the Gaming Control Board,” said Gibson.
Lengsavath previously served in the Administration Division as hearings officer for the last five years–in his new role, he will oversee the Tax and License Division, which handles everything related to licensing and tax collection.
Fremont, an NGCB member since 1994, will oversee the auditing of the state’s Group I casinos as chief of the Audit Division.
