Nevada Sports-Betting Network to Feature Musburger

The Vegas Stats & Information Network will launch February 27 on satellite radio featuring a show hosted by famed broadcaster Brent Musburger (l.), who left his job at ESPN and ABC for the new venture, which is run by his nephew, Brian Musburger.

Some of the biggest names in broadcasting are joining the new Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN), a new multi-channel network dedicated to sports gambling information. The new network is set to launch February 27 featuring shows hosted by legendary sports broadcaster Brent Musburger and famous boxing announcer Al Bernstein.

“For the first time, unbiased, actionable information and expert insights will be available to sports bettors across multiple channels, including web, live streaming, radio, mobile and social,” said a press release from VSiN.

VSiN will launch at VSiN.com on Monday, Feb. 27, but aired a special broadcast hosted by Musburger leading into yesterday’s Super Bowl.

“Sports gambling is a multibillion-dollar industry that has been forced to operate largely underground, leaving consumers scouring the internet and searching for winks and nods from broadcasters to inform their decisions,” said Musburger, founder and chairman of VSiN. “We’re so excited to bring together award-winning broadcasters and producers, legendary oddsmakers, as well as a team of content, tech, media and gaming experts to illustrate the legitimacy of, and science behind, this huge and underserved market.”

In addition to Musburger and Bernstein, additional hosts will be added in the coming months, including oddsmaking experts Jimmy Vaccaro, Vinny Magliulo and Chris Andrews.

In addition to these experts, some of the nation’s foremost sports gambling journalists will help create a truly independent source of customized and actionable news to inform those who enjoy wagering on sports. The editorial team will include Norm Clarke, former Pulitzer Prize-nominated entertainment journalist and sports columnist for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and Matt Youmans, a, veteran Las Vegas sports and gaming reporter and host.

Musburger will host a daily show Thursday through Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. PT. Bernstein will host his show from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET/ noon to 2 p.m. PT each weekday. In addition to daily programing of news and opinions, VSiN.com will provide exclusive data and concurrent analytics with an array of selections to match the viewer’s preference.

Starting on Feb. 27, select content from VSiN, including the shows hosted by Musburger, Bernstein and others, will air on SiriusXM radio (Sirius channel 215, XM channel 204) and on the SiriusXM app (channel 961), as well as broadcast on VSiN.com.
