British Columbia welcomed a new casino last week?Gateway Casinos & Entertainment’s C million Cascades Casino Penticton.
The facility, which debuted April 5, features a 45,000-square-foot gaming floor with 300 machine games and electronic table games and 10 live tables offering blackjack, three-card poker and a variant of Texas Hold ’Em called Fast Action Hold ’em.
Amenities include Gateway’s two signature restaurants: the Match Eatery & Public House, which features a rooftop patio and live music; and The Buffet.
The staff numbers 300, the company said.
“Cascades Casino Penticton will be a significant addition to the local economy and entertainment landscape of Penticton,” said CEO Tony Santo.
Gateway, based near Vancouver in the city of Burnaby, operates 18 gaming properties in Alberta and British Columbia employing more than 4,100 people.
