New Jersey has opened its fifth off-track betting facility called Favorites at Gloucester Township and located in Clementon, N.J.
The site is operated under a license granted to Freehold Raceway and is managed by Penn National Gaming, which co-owns the harness racing track.
The site can accommodate 700 customers and has 130 flat-screen TVs, an upscale wagering area with more than 40 individual handicapping stations, a 90-seat dining area, and an outdoor patio.
Penn National Gaming estimated that the site will raise $1 million annually for purses at the state’s four racetracks, Monmouth Park, the Meadowlands, Atlantic City Race Course, and Freehold, according to a press release.
