New Jersey gambling regulators have seized more than ,000 in Atlantic City casino jackpots at three casinos that were either won by underage gamblers or simply unclaimed.

The state Division of Gaming Enforcement made the seizures including jackpots from Trump Plaza and the Trump Taj Mahal, which have both closed. A third seizure came from the Tropicana.

According to the Associated Press, the state seized $66,364 from the Taj Mahal. The winners of the jackpots could not prove they were 21 years old or had left the casino without claiming their winnings through slot vouchers or other means. The jackpots included poker winnings of $18,000 and $10,000 to two customers.

The state also seized jackpots dating back two years from Trump Plaza. The Tropicana forfeited $437 in small slot payouts, a roulette payout and $5 in unclaimed gambling chips, the AP said.

The casinos and the individual gamblers did not contest the fines or forfeiture orders. The forfeited money goes to a state fund for programs for senior citizens and the disabled.
