Clarion Events will hold Juegos Miami, May 31 to June 3, 2016, at the Biltmore in Coral Gables, Florida. A totally new concept for the Pan-Latin American and Caribbean gaming industry, Juegos Miami will feature a multi-stream conference program, social and networking events, land-based and online training and the first LATAM golf challenge, said Kate Chambers, Clarion Events’ managing director.
“The market has been extremely clear about the importance of attracting the key operators, the legislators, the big buyers, the business owners and their most trusted and influential decision-makers to a single prestigious event. We have received a very straightforward brief from our stakeholders and that is to create a branded event which is the Who’s Who of Pan-Latin American and Caribbean gaming. Our challenge and that of our colleagues at Urban Expositions, is to deliver that brief and in the process satisfy the very specific needs of the industry that we serve,” Chambers said.
The result, she stated, is Juegos Miami. “We have been researching, planning and most importantly listening to all sectors of the gaming industry active in Pan-Latin America and the Caribbean for over a year about what they wanted from a gaming event. Based on that and in partnership with Urban Expositions, in which we are now a majority partner, we have created a bespoke event which reflects those needs. Logic may suggest that it should be a case of lifting a successful template such as ICE and recreating it in Miami, but that could not be further from the truth. Juegos Miami is a totally new concept whose foundation stones are relationship building and top-level networking, set against a strong commercial backdrop,” Chambers said.
Julian Graves, chairman of Clarion’s gaming division, added, “It’s taken some time to arrive at this point but the simple fact was that Juegos Miami needed to be different. Our sole purpose is to bring the right people together, at the right time and in the right way. Launching another trade show would have been a lot easier but it would not have met the needs of the business leaders I have been speaking with for over a year. Instead, Juegos Miami will be a refreshing mix of product, learning, knowledge-exchange, training, networking and socializing. It will be utterly focused on the region, delivered in an intimate and dedicated environment as well as being cost-effective for exhibitors.”
Courtney Muller, Urban Expositions executive vice president, said, “The industry has been asking for an event that will truly embrace the region and reflect an entire continent of gaming excellence. Pooling our respective skill sets, Juegos Miami will benefit from the marketing excellence, investment and organizational thoroughness that have become synonymous with our major global gaming events, not least ICE Totally Gaming and NIGA.”
