Santa Ana Star Casino at the Santa Ana Pueblo north of Albuquerque announced a million expansion project that will include an attached hotel. Opened in 1993, Santa Ana Star was the first Native American casino to operate in New Mexico.
Casino officials said work on the expansion will begin this month and be completed in two years, creating 120 permanent jobs and several hundred construction jobs.
Santa Ana Star Casino offers more than 1,500 slots plus table games, live poker and a high limit room. The property features four dining options, including a buffet and a contemporary New Mexican restaurant, plus the Starlight Bowling Alley.
