The Covid-19 pandemic last year closed down Sandia Resort & Casino, near Albuquerque, New Mexico. It reopened July 2 and showed off the $100 million in renovations that it made during the months closed.

Sandia Resort & Casino near Albuquerque, New Mexico, reopened July 2 after being closed for many months due to the pandemic.

During the closure the resort spent $100 million in renovations, include casino floor upgrades and improvements to hotel rooms. A sports bar was added on the third floor.

The reopening is being conducted in phases, slowly, said Pueblo of Sandia Gov. Stuart Paisano. Guests will be required to mask up, even those who have been vaccinated.
