New Responsible Gaming Trust Head

The Responsible Gambling Trust (RGT) in the United Kingdom has a new head. Kate Lampard has been appointed chairman of the board of trustees.

The Responsible Gambling Trust (RGT), a charity that fights problems caused by gambling, has appointed Kate Lampard CBE chairman of the board of trustees, effective immediately.

Lampard succeeds Neil Goulden. She is the former vice chairman of the South of England Strategic Health Authority.

Philip Graf CBE, chairman of the UK Gambling Commission, greeted the appointment warmly. He told Gambling Insider, “The Gambling Commission warmly welcomes Kate Lampard to her new role as Chair of the Responsible Gambling Trust.”

Lampard commented, “I am very pleased to accept this appointment to help prevent and protect vulnerable people from gambling-related harm. The RGT plays a vitally important role in enhancing our understanding of harm arising from gambling and the best ways to tackle it.”
